So, as you all know, I absolutely love and am addicted to buying commissions of my OCs and their many variations.
Back in March 2016, I commissioned Neotwenty1 for a piece of my OC Kikimari and Suicune. It took him about a month
to finish and it came out great, you all can see that because it's in my gallery. Now, since he did such a great job before,
I decided to commission him again. This time with my OC Darc Legion with three of his pokemon. Now since I had no
problems with him during my first commission and he always replied back to me on twitter, as well as his email. I figured
I could just pay him up front, that way when I get my commission I won't have to worry about his payment. A month passes
by with no commission, but you know, I understand that life gets in the way and he also had another person ahead of me.
So I stayed patient, waiting another month, then on the third month, I decided to contact him. Which he replied and said he's
working on it, even sent me a few emails with my character's update sketches.
So, a few more months roll by with no word from him, I contact him again in October and he sent me another update sketch.
November and December roll by, I decided not to bother him, since it's the holidays so he might not even have time to work on it
due to family or whatever. Now, we roll into January 2017, I sent him an email at the beginning of the month, one in the middle of
the month and at the end of the month with no replies from him at all on either three. Finally, in February 8, 2017, Neotwenty1 finally
gets in contact with me apologizing for ignoring my emails and other attempts to contact him. Stating he had been dealing with some
family and life issues, which was fine, I understood those things. I told him it's okay and that next time he shouldn't just ignore his customers
and actually inform them that he's going to take a break for a bit. He replied and told me that he was glad for my understand, that
next time he will do so. He also mentioned that he'd get back to finishing my commission. Good, I figured we were finally back in
business and everything should be fine now. Well, after February rolls by and we end up in March, I get no emails or anything from him.
Once again, I decided to send him an email in order to see how things are going. Yet, I didn't get a reply, I waited six days from the first
email before I sent another, along with some tweets to his twitter account and notes on his deviantart account. A week pass with nothing
in return, this upset me, because now near the end of March, I still have yet to hear from him. I contacted the person above me on
his commission list to see if she has heard anything from him. She replied back to me stating she hasn't heard anything from him
since she first made her commission last year. This pisses me off, we both paid him good money for commissions and he refuses
to get back in touch with us when we try to contact him. I regret ever trusting him and sending the money ahead of time, I hate
artists who take advantage of their customers like this. What pisses me off the most, is that most of the time, they get away with it.
Because deviantart does do anything even after you report the artist to them, they are no help whatsoever. Plus with the commission
being so old, I can't even appeal with paypal in order to get my money back. Please, anyone who had planned to get a commission
from this guy, don't do it. You'll just get cheated out of your money too, just like me and the other commissioner. If anyone knows
this guy in person or is a friend of his and have actually been successful in speaking to him recently. Let him know that I would
like my money back or at least to contact me through my email, because I want a refund. At this point, I could care less about
getting my commission from him, I just want the money I gave to him for a service he's refusing to give me.
